Under the Manage Tab, in the student section, select a student and then edit the student. Go to the program tab and select the level and then the gear as below:
You will then be able deselect the reading content as needed.

Reading Placement - Advanced Settings
In addition to changing the level of a student's placement, their are some advanced settings that allow you to adjust the specific reading content.
